My life is blessed and I am so grateful. Indeed. Indeed.I arrived early this morning, about 9:10 AM, to my client's office. I'm working here 3 days a week for the next 6 weeks. They really need the support and I'm glad to help. I'm not in the business of offering temp services to companies, I really want to grow my business as a consulting practice, but this client and I have a great relationship, we trust each other, they need the help and I have the skills to do it for them right the first time. This client deserves that. They are decent, honest and hardworking people and I would do anything to support them. And...I feel genuinely appreciated - like they are grateful that I've come into their life - and I them, of course.
That's enough to be grateful for right? Well, in keeping with the major trend in my life there is more. SO much to be grateful for that I don't even know how to keep up with the thanks - right, good problem to have!
OK, back to my story. I walked in and set my computer and purse on my desk that is just next to the kitchenette. A few of the team members who work here full-time were talking about the lottery and what they would do with the money. They said, "I won't stop working, I'll just start my own firm." They went on to describe all the benefits of working on their own, flexible hours, having control of when they take time off - none of it was for money but for freedom.
I smiled a large smile to myself and said "I did it." I started my own firm. I've been in business for over a year now and I'm on track to pay off my start-up debt this year.
SO MUCH to be grateful for. This is my recurring prayer.
Dear God, you have blessed me so. Please guide me so that I never lose site of all that I have to be grateful for, for all that You have blessed me with and please please please show me the path that will lead me to doing the things I should be doing to help to spread these blessings for I know that when You are asked why? Why do You allow all this suffering in the world? You say "I have given you all that you need to eradicate the suffering in the world, it is up to you." Amen.
My life is blessed, and I am so grateful!
