Day 19 FIRE Facing your death / Embracing your life

I am not engaging with Fire week. I feel like it is "in my face". Like it is getting in the way of my own traditions and beliefs. So, I'm reading the chapters and understanding the basic principles and teachings like "Cherish your life and embrace your death." Yup, I can do that, have done that, am with the program on that no problem...but make a fire and do this and that, not working for me.
The Practice Dying exercise is calling me but another side of me is scared to try it. This is one I'll tag for the future. I think there will be great learning in this.

I live in the present moment with courage and love.

I was afraid of visualizing my death too. I did it and hey I am still alive! LOL. Try it when you feel ready. I am looking forward to tomorrow!

I think that the basic concepts are the important parts - the little rituals/exercises are more focus points if you need them.

You have to remain true to yourself and your beliefs or you become a fractured being (IMHO)

Very wise to respect your own beliefs and traditions - I think that's the only way to do things, taking what you like and leaving the rest.

Interesting picture, reminds me of a gentle volcano - if there is such a thing ....
