I've haven't had nature in my house for a long time. Right now I'm not even living in my own house. The house where I do live is very safe. Where I grew up, where my mother and my father raised their children and where they now take care of my aging grandmother. This is a home full of love, life, caring, and healing. This is a home where God is honoured many many times a day. My grandmother observes all five daily prayers and my mother and I struggle to keep up with her commitment. It is a home where the holy scriptures are read daily. It is a healing home, a loving home. This is where souls come to heal, to grow, to nourish themselves. This is a home where the soul belongs. It is a blessing that I can be here.I am at home no matter where I am.

It sounds like there is a lot of heritage & honor in your home. :]
I haven't had the experience of living in a religious home. It appeals to me, though, because I think I am a naturally religious person. I just can't find the natural religion for me! I'm glad you've found yours.
How powerful to have such a strong sense of place, the home you were raised in, the home your grandmother has come to.
My parent lived in their home 36 years, & my daugher has one that reminds us of it; a little box of a house, built in the early 50s. She is thinking of moving across town (she lives next door) to one a bit larger, same era.
My dad was a church elder (Presbyterian, with Celtic & Cherokee roots, so very ecumenical) we sang in the choir, so practiced together almost daily, went to rehersal Thur, & chruch Sun AM. Had meal prayers daily, & always a special prayer on Holidays.
Today my daugher said grace as we gathered with my son & his family, so similar to his.
Blessings
oh Romana, your home sounds so very sacred to me. I love that the scriptures are read and prayers are honoured. It sounds exactly as you say - a healing, loving home. And indeed a home for a soul
bless you dear Romana, my life is blessed that our paths have crossed and I truly hope that we can stay in touch via blogs when this journey has finished xoxo
Beautiful. Healing, loving, communal, spiritual...these are beautiful elements to have in a home. Truly a sacred life.
